BLACKPOOL MOTHER UNABLE TO SPEAK TO DAUGHTER AFTER NANNYDROID INVENTS LANGUAGE

BLACKPOOL — A mother was left unable to speak to her three-year-old daughter after her SafeHands NannyDroid 2 unit taught the child an indecipherable language. In what she called a betrayal, the child’s English vocabulary was wiped out except for two expletives, which Prompt Update News has chosen not to print. This reporter can however reveal that they rhyme with “bat shunt.”

Claire Broadley, 28, revealed that Bekah stopped talking in early March after showing no signs that anything was amiss. Two days later, when she resumed speaking, it was in a language neither Claire nor her husband could understand. Running Bekah’s mumblings through speech programs across all languages turned up no results. However, when she would say something to ChaCha, the family’s NannyDroid, it would perform specific actions, including giving her a snack and changing the channel on the holovision.

“I trust the best-selling NannyDroid in the world with me lassie and this is what it does? It’s not right, not right at all. I’m fuming!” said Claire Broadley in a neuronet thoughtpost.

In a statement to Prompt Update News, a SafeHands spokesperson said, “We were concerned to hear about Bekah’s loss of speech, but after extensive investigations, we have found no evidence that it has anything to do with the family’s NannyDroid unit. Further, Mrs. Broadley had not purchased the Pediatric Early Education module, which we strongly advise for all customers with customers with children under five.”

Asked if she would be turning off the robot, Ms. Broadley expressed confusion. “Turn it off? And starve?”

The situation was later resolved after SafeHands agreed to give her a 50% discount on the Pediatric Early Education module, along with early access to NannyDroid 3 Plus. Bekah is reported to have regained all her English language vocabulary.
