Vibe-coded vs. Hand-coded

The whole debate is like evolution vs. creationism. Who cares? We’re here!

AI makes me appreciate people more.

I harp on and on about AI. I know. But I’ve had an interesting thought recently: While making Pixla, it’s become apparent to me that I’d really like a talented person doing some stuff I’m handing off to AI. Not an average person, a real student of their field.

Technical vs. Non-technical

Not too long from now, non-technical will mean roughly the same thing as computer illiterate. That’s it. That’s the thought.

Cynicism

Being a little cynical might be necessary for building durable products. Many assume people want to get better at something, for example, when in fact they want to stay stagnant and not feel bad about it.

If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it blah blah blah

Yes, it did make a sound. Because there’s a chance someone will be there later, and that person can input the size of the tree, the ground it fell on, etc, into an AI program, which will calculate the sound and play it back.

Feature v. Product

Thinking about the difference between building a feature and building a product. My first half-baked thought is that a feature is the result of additive forces, whereas a product is the result of elements that are more multiplicative. I wonder what do with that. Is this saving on the page now?
